Responsibilities:

• Design and decorate cakes for various occasions, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and special events.

• Interpret customer requests and specifications to create custom cake designs.

• Utilize various cake decorating techniques, such as piping, fondant work, and sculpting, to bring designs to life.

• Prepare icing, fillings, and decorative elements to be used in cake designs.

• Ensure cakes are baked, cooled, and ready for decoration in a timely manner.

• Use color theory and artistic skills to create visually appealing cake designs.

• Keep up to date with current cake decorating trends, techniques, and industry innovations.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cake decorating area, including tools, equipment, and work surfaces.

• Collaborate with the bakery team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished cakes.

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding cake designs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cake Decorator or in a similar role.

• Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and design.

• Proficiency in various cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and sculpting.

• Knowledge of different icing types and their applications.

• Creativity and ability to conceptualize and bring ideas to life.

• Ability to work with precision and meet specific design requirements.

• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple cake orders simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices in a bakery setting.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
